Commissioner Doris Meissner has filled two key positions at the Immigration and Naturalization Service. The new second in command at the INS is Mary Ann Wyrsch, a veteran of the Labor Department. Wyrsch worked as chief of operations for the Labor Department’s Employment and Training Administration. The position is the highest ranking civil service position in the INS. Meissner now has her entire senior management team in place after having a number of high profile position vacancies.
Paul Virtue, Executive Associate Commissioner for Programs at the INS, has been named as General Counsel, the INS’ chief lawyer.
