ECFMG Halts Processing of Iranian Physician Cases

ECFMG has announced on its web site that it is seeking clarification from the Treasury Department regarding whether it can interact with Iranian institutions for purposes of verifying medical credentials without violating the US sanctions regime against Iran. Until it has a definitive answer, ECFMG will not be processing credentials verification requests from Iranian physicians.
